Why Reddit Should Buy Out DiggIn the last week we’ve seen the internet come down hard on the new Digg. The most prominent critics were obviously casual Diggers who do not like the changes, the constant crashes and Mashable’s over-prominence in the new site. The solution? Reddit should buy out Digg.

Reasons Why Reddit Should Buy Out Digg

  • Most of the stories in the past two days have been from Reddit, promoted by Diggers who are making the transition to Reddit.
  • Reddit has a lot of stories on the new Digg, more proof that users are moving.
  • In 3 months Digg won’t be relevant anyway, so they might as well get their user base.
  • Doing well on Reddit doesn’t require you to have the most followers.
  • You can find what you want on Reddit without having to follow all the content providers you like.
  • Reddit’s category section actually makes sense. You can actually find a useful category to post to.
  • Reddit works correctly.
  • The new Digg crashes constantly.
  • No one (except for maybe the staff at Mashable) likes the new Digg.
  • Digg V4 sucks and no one at Digg seems to care.
