Just a couple of hours ago Digg announced on it’s company’s blog that Matt Williams will replace interim CEO Kevin Rose. Williams had previously been an executive at Amazon for the past 11 years. Williams certainly has a strong skill set for the online world and may be able to help the company which is facing significant backlash over last week’s unveiling of Digg version 4, which is significantly different than the previous version. In the last week we’ve seen the internet come down hard on the new Digg. The most prominent critics were obviously casual Diggers who do not like the changes, the constant crashes and Mashable’s over-prominence in the new site. The solution? Reddit should buy out Digg. (continue reading…)

The new Digg is filled with complaints about the new Digg and Diggers are Digging it.
The new version of Digg is only a couple of days old, and already it has generated a lot of errors and a lot of hate. Judging by what we’ve seen on Digg and elsewhere, including many tech blogs, a good portion, if not the majority of users hate the new Digg. Even if they might of liked it, the plethora of errors seen on the site so far have turned off a lot of people. (continue reading…)

The new version of Digg launched today to mixed reviews, good ideas and lots of fail. Comments across the web from places like Facebook and Twitter show that a lot of users have experienced the same problems I have: horribly slow loading times, problems logging in, discrepancies in the number of Diggs and other errors.
So is the new Digg a good or a bad thing? Well, it looks like a little of both. (continue reading…)
